Boy, this climate has made the lakes … Nicely, ugly would describe them properly. And even as many anglers have given up and are searching forward to open water, some local “pout chasers” are nevertheless catching fish. Kyle and Tyler Bahr were grappling with the slush and being rewarded with a few nice fish for their troubles.
Now, I’ve caught a ton of eelpouts but have not centered them, but it is a trend that’s been catching on.
They put up excellent combat, and fishing them in 30-forty toes of water can be fun. The Bahr boys normally look for a dust/gravel bottom using their favored pout lures.
