As the guardian business enterprise of the country’s fish, wildlife, and marine sources, we are tasked with preserving, coping with, and shielding flora, fauna, and wildlife habitats, informing the public about those sources, and offering opportunities for the public to apply and admire them. There are many possibilities to assist us with this mission.
Our Wildlife Division conducts several research and monitoring efforts throughout the year, particularly in the spring and summer. Biologists regularly solicit assistance from the public by collaborating on diverse wildlife online surveys and reporting what they see, including winter turkey flocks, wintry weather tick-associated moose hair loss pix in spring, and turkey broods in the summertime.
Additionally, reporting observations of piping plovers on Hampton and Seabrook beaches, reptiles, and bats facilitates revealing these species. These are clean ways for everyone interested in the natural world to get concerned and contribute to Fish and Game’s wildlife management programs.
