PEARL RIVER COUNTY, MS (WLOX) – Pearl River County deputies are asking the general public for facts about a collection of people from Gulfport and Biloxi who are associated with diverse thefts and schemes. The individuals are Courtney Goff, 23, of Biloxi; John Holquist, forty-three, of Gulfport; Darius Lofton, 26, of Biloxi; and Erick McCray, 28, of Gulfport.
Deputies say they acquired a report from a tractor enterprise in Picayune on February 12 about a counterfeit cashier taking a look. The enterprise informed deputies they offered a tractor to a few people. The humans reportedly used a cashier’s test for $24,700. A couple of days later, the enterprise observed the check became fake. Deputies say an investigation led them to the Gulf Coast. According to officials, suspects who passed the bill were citizens of Biloxi and Gulfport. I investigated and recognized the previously stated people for the past three weeks.
Authorities commenced arresting the suspects in mid-February, ending with the last one being taken into custody this week. All four are charged with felony conspiracy to commit pretense and prison pretense. Goff, Holquist, and Lofton have all bonded out. McCray is in custody at the Pearl River County Jail. He’s being hung on a $20,000 bond. Deputies say the group is related to different schemes and thefts in Ocean Springs and Mobile. The government considers they have stolen or falsely received a couple of brand-new application automobiles, one farm tractor, and several ATVs. None of these items are within the sheriff’s workplace’s ownership, and the branch isn’t certain how long they’ve been doing these illegal activities.
